No I didn’t forget but I got confused in Georgia because they managed to have another day for mothers’ day a few days before. So confused in fact that when the bar man in Betsy’s hotel presented us with flowers, (OK it was a tiny bunch of violets, but a kind thought all the same) I managed to leave them behind.
Bunch of flowers? You’re supposed to get a box of Red October chocolates at least. And the day off. True that the so-called ‘International Women’s Day’ has never really caught on outside Russia.
